TAXCO
Denominated a ‘Magic Town’, Taxco is located to the south of Mexico City, between mountains with large deposits of silver. Most of its fame is due to the Church of Santa Prisca, a jewel of the Mexican baroque, ordered to be built by the miner Don José de la Borda.
The town’s silver craftsmanship is internationally renowned, an activity that was reborn under the influence of William Spratling, a North American artist.
We visit the picturesque cobbled streets, museums, goldsmith workshops as well as gallery-shops of important designers, without forgetting to visit the architectural jewel, The Church of Santa Prisca.
