“I do not study to know more, but to ignore less.”

- Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz

SOR JUANA INÉS DE LA CRUZ.

Known as the ‘Tenth Muse’, she was a woman ahead of her time in ideas and talent. Juana Inés de Asbaje decided to explore the world of ideas through reading, conversation and writing. Her curiosity and intellectual capacity attracted the enmity of the church authorities who forced her to renounce her books and writings, which have lasted to this day with great importance in Spanish-language literature.

We visit some streets of Mexico City and the convent of San Jerónimo, where she lived and produced her unique literary work.
