ZÓCALO – CATHEDRAL – NATIONAL PALACE
Discover the heart of a great city, capital of the old Viceroyalty of New Spain, considered a world heritage site by UNESCO.
We visit the main square known as ‘El Zócalo’, one of the largest in the world. We walk through the National Palace, seat of executive power and whose history goes back to the beginning of the viceroyalty. We contemplate the famous murals painted by Diego Rivera between 1921 and 1953 in which he recounts the saga of the Mexican people through the centuries, as well as murals alluding to different Mesoamerican cultures. Finally, we visit the Cathedral and the Metropolitan Tabernacle with their art collections.
